If I recall correctly, different tests have come up with different results. Some tests have it at 15 feet and others have it at close to 30 feet with a running start

Some tests have it at 15 feet and others have it at close to 30 feet with a running start The cheetah has this really impressive stride length while sprinting so I could almost see a running leap greater than the other cats.

Well it's interesting with dogs the longest leap record used to be held by labradors, just because they were the dogs competing in the contest. At some point people started trying other dogs and ultimately someone tried whippets. That was the end of that. They almost doubled the leaping distance of labradors. So... given that fact I'd be compelled to agree that if they actually tried cheetahs would easily be the longest leapers.
