I live in South Georgia and Bolushi lives in Florida. But living down here, I notice the beef between Florida and South Georgia. Many reasons, the primary is hunting. Florida men are much more careless and powerful when it comes to hunting. There is more dog hunting than in South Georgia. Florida men will also find a way to trespass when they wanna go hunting, while Georgia men are extremely strict about that. Florida has actually introduced some hogs down here so they can hunt. Many species from Florida also manage to come down here (lizards, bears, etc.) and Georgians hate that shit. While both states are crackheads, Florida is again, like I said, more careless and powerful. Georgia hunting is way more law-enforced and chill, and still and bow hunting makes up the majority down here, not dog hunters.

It would be cool to know more about the nitty gritty details of the history of southern dogs. Which curs come from where and when and which coonhounds and which bulldogs. I believe for example the alapaha blueblood bulldog is a Georgia strain. That could be good book to research, "Dogs of the south" written by Tristan Meyers and Wyatt Handjobsen.

Yeah down here in South Georgia we have a lot of Bulldogs. Hell, down here APBT’s are called Bulldogs. (which they are but besides the point, many are uneducated) I also see a shit load of German Shepherds. On ranch and city. Not must Pastoral Herders except for Australian Shepherds, which are the #1 dog you will find on a ranch. German Shepherds are mostly what they are here, roaming freely and harassing the shit out of other dogs and killing shit. I have never seen hunting with scenthounds down here in Georgia, surprisingly. And if there is, you can bet millions on that its a Florida man that comes out of state to hunt, South Georgia being the closest. They run deer dogs on other peoples properties and are nuts about hog dogs. Us in South Georgia treat dogs like they are; wolves. They are treated like wolves as in the large majority of people know how to deal with a dog they don’t know. Excluding Bainbridge and Thomasville residential cities in South Georgia, fuck those. If a dog is attacking livestock, shot. Does as much as merely run onto the property? A loud yell and then the rounds start firing. Pursuing deer on someones property? Also shot, legally. Georgia in general is very strict about property rules and regulations, you can even talk to other people about it or you can even look on Georgia state websites and state-wide and city-wide lawbooks.

Here in Florida the only time we use scenthounds is either to track shot deer or to use in conjunction with catch dogs.
