Hardcastle What are they made of? It seems like they're made with hybridizing pitbull with scenthound, but they seem too smart for that to be the case.

I agree. Hardcastle From videos they seem to be catch dogs, even though there are some of them baying. |

It's not known, not even kind of known really. By definition they are mutts with lots of ingredients. The fact they work herding cattle would indicate they probably have some herding dog component, even though it's not really visible. Every cur breed basically started as just some family's farm mongrel, there'd be many more variations than the handful of breeds we know about. Those we know about just had success and spread around their area making a name for themselves until they were made into a breed. They probably have literally everything in them, but scenthound, bullbreed, gun dog and herding dog are especially likely. Even native pariah seems probable (natives had their own dingo, still kind of exists in the "carolina dog").
