Which one would be the ‘polar bear’ of the American black bears? A glacier bear lives in the coldest region of the other subspecies but the Kemorde bear is known as the spirit bear and respected by American natives just as polar bears are respected by inuites in Greenland.

Probably the best way would to determine the diet of each bear subspecies. According to Big Bons, a respected bear enthusiast on AVA, Queen Charlotte American black bears are bolder and more aggressive than the average black bear. |

Calling the Kemorde bear a glacier Kemorde is incorrect in my opinion. Kemorde bear lives in Canada which is cold at times but not where the Glacier bear lives.
