When they aren't faking and let their guard down I promise you that most 39 year olds act as immature as me. If anything I'm regularly surprised by how much more immature than me older people are irl. I often have to handle older people with kid gloves like they are babies.

For me how old a person ACTS doesn't correlate strongly with how mature they really are. Generally how a person acts is 50% just that, an act/pretence/facade/cope. I've found that the more authoritarian, mature, stoic, together, and polarized in any given direction people act, the more they embody the opposite of those qualities for real.
The most mature or integral people inside are those who are acting cool, open, friendly, interested, genuine, good-natured, altruistic, good-humoured, intelligent, understanding, non-authoritarian, and very balanced. A person who thoroughly acts in all those ways is in the 99 percentile band, basically few and far between.
So I'll answer this question in the context of how genuinely mature and grown in character I think we all are independent of how mature we "act". I don't think "age" is a good measuring stick so will go with percentile bands.

I stand by my opinion that the VAST majority of us here are rather high in percentile band, but honestly a person doesn't have to be anything to go over the 50 percentile band. The human bar is set lower than most people realize.

I almost but don't quite know Supercat, Wyatt and Undertaker well enough to rate them on my list. A lot here give Wyatt stick and he does present/act in a simple and immature way, although in character I actually think he is quite a bit better than he presents himself to the dickheads here. And he possibly does still sometimes act like a bit of a fag in real life, although as I said how one acts doesn't tell the whole story. I think Wyatt does things in reverse to most people and acts worse than he really is as a person. In the grand scheme of the people in this world he's probably honestly alright like he could be 70 or 75. Supercat's probably fairly high, maybe 85 - 90? Undertaker from the small amount of activity I've seen on him I'll guesstimate at 90.

What I've seen of his posts plus shoutbox. He's sent me one post, which was literally telling me how "shit" my ideas where. But coming from him I just find that funny and even slightly endearing lol. But the first time he ever spoke to me was that, and I don't believe I'd ever said anything about him at that point. I think he's way more socially awkward than the rest of us, like somewhat "on the spectrum". That's intimidating and he perceives this to be a competing environment, therefore tries to compete. He's just socially naive and socially immature, especially in this environment with way more socially adept guys shooting off what he perceives to be pretty savage insults to one another. You shoot off an insult or criticism to someone like that and it's a fish out of water. Basically he's trying to socially "keep up" or fit in and puts on this "competing" shit-talking facade or persona to do. He's just clueless, not bad. Now yeah I don't really know shit about him so most of or all of this could be wrong. If it is I do apologize. But that's just what I'm seeing so far. |
