You posting this is anti bear evidence if anything, a bear wasn’t able to kill pet bull breed mixes Yoshi was hurt more from the SBT attack than those pitbulls were from the bear.

If the human did not intervene, then the dog would have died, though Black Bears take a long time killing stuff.

Yeah so the dog won't have died. Because it will just easily get away while the bear thinks about taking a long time trying to kill it. It's rare for dogs of any kind to be killed by bears, even toy breeds. Huskies tethered into the ground are about the only thing in real danger.

It's anti-bear evidence because they had a good chew and tried to kill a dog but failed. No matter how sensationally worded an article is, an alive dog with some scratches is just a failed predation attempt.

Yes, if a dog survives an attack from what is supposed to be a formidable dangerous animal then I guess the dog won.

Apparently they were not vulnerable enough to die from the injuries the bear gave it

It is incapable of a stun attack with a bite and shake to the nose to make an animal think twice, it has no weapons to stop any bear from just walking up to it and killing it immediately.

A Lynx can use it's agility and reflexes to avoid the Bear. Yes, It can't do shaking bites, but it can still latch to the nose and then claw it to make the Bear think twice.

It has a cute little mouth with hole punchers to try that with, and then it doesn't have the movement necessary to avoid ending up on its back and if it tried to hang on the bear would rip it off the chain and the lynx would get killed from that alone. I don't think an animal that is capable of being bayed to death by a hound is durable enough to engage with a polar bear for any amount of time regardless of the bear's intentions.

Polar Bears have highly sensitive noses. The Lynx could just do a paw swipe and hit the Bear's nose when it's approaching and make it back off
