I actually think that there should be a thread of unusual predation events. This can include stuff like herbivorous ungulates eating smaller animals. Here is a confirmed case of a Hog Badger that killed an adult king cobra. source: Marshall, Benjamin M., et al. "Hits close to home: repeated persecution of King Cobras (Ophiophagus hannah) in Northeastern Thailand." Tropical Conservation Science 11 (2018): 1940082918818401 It is an interesting case since it is the first confirmed predation of an adult king cobra. That too it is done by an obscure predator, not by the more known mongoose or eagle.

Oh, was it a honey badger? Then it wouldn't be unusual. I think honey badgers do it a lot and it's pretty well known to laymen. That said, I don't find a hog badger doing it surprising. Hog badgers are nasty and weigh up to 30 +lbs, there's probably a lot of stuff they can do.
