Average vs Average - Dogo Argentino.
Best vs best is probably "pick your poison", should be very similar.

Makes sense, actually. USA has good corsos and bad dogos, it seems. Though I think USA also has plenty of "genuine italian" bad corsos. Also "best vs best" being 50/50 is pretty generous to the corso because I just don't know if I've seen any really high level working corsos. I've seen good PP corsos but the rustic working catch dog variety seems very very very very rare, possibly non-existent. Maybe hidden in rural italy among people who don't have the internet and probably don't even think of their dogs as "cane corsos".

I thought you were in tune with the fact that we have no shortage of catch dog Corsos here. We have shitty ones, a lot of both.

I am not in tune with that fact. Maybe I forgot. In the usa I've seen apbt (probably 90% of catchdogs) and ambull (probably 8%). I've also seen EBT and great dane, manson family bandog, and Lee Robinson's line (whatever he is calling it this week). That's about it I think?

No. We have tons of stuff kicking around, ambulls just one of them. APBTs are probably the most popular demographic (nowhere near 90% though) but they are actually mostly mutts with high APBT ancestry. Like the dog who got throttled into the water by a boar, that is not a pure pitbull even if we call it one. We (southerners) know it, so the simpler term is "bulldog". ADBA pits also exist. I may do a facebook mini census. I got my catbulldog picture from a florida hog dog advertisement. EBT and Danes are foreign to me here but wild cards always show up. I know we have the ever uncommon EBT, but Danes are not found besides for the Bloom Brother dogs that hybridized with ours. You gotta look far and wide to find that ancestry though and I never saw it. Again I am surprised I have to tell you this information...

I got the EBT and Dane from some hog doggers I saw on tv shows back in the day. On like discovery or something. There was a pure EBT used and a pure harlequin great dane. Both I think in Florida, funnily enough. In one of the shows a well known Aussie guy, Ned Makim ( His website) showed up for some reason and was helping them out. It's a really vague memory. You have to remember you have a fresh young mind, mine is old and full of crap.

That's a fair point about a lot of the "bulldogs" probably not being pure apbts.

A pure dane... no way. If they had a Dane it was BS as they aren't here. Might as well be a pure Tosa or Neo or etc.

I've seen a pure dane or two before in Australia. I think it wasn't set up for discovery, I think it was real guys hunting hogs even when not on TV, BUT they were pretty amateurish and casual about it.

I recall a shitty video of a Dogo with knight armor and a Harlequin Dane picking on what might as well be a peccary. This also looks amateurish and casual. It is.
