Well I'm asking how it is in general in Australia. You give an example in the US but at the same time the best universities are either English or American. So one could counter me by saying this since I said education in West-Europe is top tier. I said I went to the most difficult and expensive school in the city. There are three secondary schools in my city; the one I went to, a catholic school one and another one. The latter was for people who couldn't compete in the former two schools. The general rule was that if you're smart, you must go to one of the former two, if you're handy you go to the other school. The twats, pricks, assholes AKA bullies went to the latter because they don't care for education and are "handy" with their fists if you know what I mean. That's why police sometimes had to visit that school because people stabbed each other in the cheek with a pencil... I have friends who went to that school. They were having a great time because their French teacher for example didn't teach them properly, they chilled and chat with each other. Meanwhile our teacher became a French speaker the minute she walked in class until the end. I was jealous as some of my friends could chill and laugh in the other school. Now they regret it because they barely speak French whereas I speak it fluently. And since it's one of our official languages, it definitely helps. Long story short; bad schools are spread all over the world. But the prison-like scenes I just cannot imagine. I have to admit that I do not know much about Australian schools. However, I know about American schools since you mentioned about a former English colony, and Dale mentioned school shooters. The universities are good due to having decent facilities as well as upper class students, academic students and academic upper class international students. I would not say that schools have prison scenes, but some schools are still dangerous enough to have metal detectors.  Not to mention that some of these schools have cops for unruly students. |

Wasn't there another serious campaign to remind Aboriginals not to drink oil? Sniffing petrol/gasoline, definitely. I still regularly see them carrying around little bits of petrol to sniff. They invented a different kind for remote indigenous communities that doesn't get you high. They also inhale deodorant and sniff paint. And drink turpentine/methylated spirits. I actually really feel sorry for them, this is their deep history of victimisation and exclusion on display mostly. They are killing themselves slowly because their life is totally hellish and miserable. Native americans do similar stuff. But yes at superficial glance it can be pretty silly and easy to make fun of them, which people do. Somehow I just don't even WANT to find an excuse for Indians shitting everywhere. That is purely comedy and they are inherently silly guys. |

This is a recently developed phenomenon, as before this, people in rural India used to shit in their fields (maybe they were too poor to afford fertilizer or something idk). Now these rurals are migrating to cities to get better jobs (spoiler alert they can't because any one who actually considers shitting on streets in modern human society even after the government has provided public toilets is most likely illiterate and significantly below average IQ). It's even a subject of mockery for most teens and young adults in the suburbs because as you said its pure comedy. Unfortunately as a sheltered upper-middle class suburban guy with a good education I have only had the misfortune to see this 'event' once in my life. |
