She looks like she could be a APBT, how big is she? You be the judge, I didn't ask. I asked my uncle's girlfriend but she didn't know.

I don’t think it’s a bully, shes not super stocky and her head is not as exaggerated as many bully’s. I would say APBT before American bully. But then she may grow to be massive and I could be wrong

If it was I would've been a bit disappointed, good thing it isn't.

I don't think I can really wrap my head around the whole bully/pitbull distinction. To me there are pitbulls, and most are "petbulls", and some (only in very recent times btw) are totally deformed dwarven pieces of shit, and others are big whopping lumps of crap that seem to be crossed with mastiff or something a lot of the time (think Cesar Milan's "daddy"). Many are just very nice solid gripping dogs that could probably work well as drop dogs or lead in catch dogs if given the opportunity to be conditioned and practiced for that role and also can probably beat the crap out of most other dogs, and then some, a minority, are the serious real deal elite fighting dogs with a game-tested pedigree, and they're typically adba registered and there's really no mistaking what they are. The people who have them definitely know they do. If your bully or pitbull or even amstaff has a basically well balanced physique and you keep it in decent shape, it's probably usually in the second last category. If you have something in the last category you will already know, something in the first two categories it will be blindingly obvious and kind of sickening.

Funny how the ADBA is literally a public club where dog fighters all show the public and cops what they've got and nobody does shit. Fine by me.

Yeah I'll be honest I'm a bit confused by that. Counter-intuitively pitbulls actually aren't my thing and I still don't really understand the nitty gritty details of that world.

I don't know what the fuck my uncle's dog is now. It looks like a rednose, he previously said it was a rednose, and then a guy comes over and asks what it is and he's like ''american bully'' aaaah, what? He's dumb and doesn't know dogs but I'm 99% sure it's a rednose and he thinks they're the same thing. If it matures out to be a bully then... I've never seen a better looking bully in my life. Your uncle might mean American "bulldog" and assumes "bully" is shorthand for "bulldog", trying to use dog lingo on the streets but fucking up. If that's the case then that's endearing.

I think 6 months is more accurate, IIRC. Okay it is 100% an APBT, no doubt in my mind. Looked up 6 and 8mo bullies, they look nothing like it. I don't understand how he can put 450$ (split the cost with his GF) on a dog and then not know shit. Look at this XL bully, I think a year or less IIRC. Bottom picture is after it matured more. That's a crazy difference, never would have guessed, although you can see in the bully pup how abnormally big its head is compared to its body, the head size doesn't match the body even for a dog with a big head. Something had to give eventually.

Yeah well that's the thing that makes me a little confused with the "bully" term, some people in Australia use "bully" to casually refer to any bullbreed. Meaning like it's "bullyish". So people might even call my dog a "bully". That said that's probably not what his uncle means because I guess maybe they don't use "bully" that way over there? From what I gather they use the term bully to very specifically mean these weird mutated pitbulls like they are a distinct breed. People HAVE started doing that here too very recently (selling "XL bullies" on gumtree and etc) but yeah to my eye/ear I'm more in the "bully is slang for any bullbreed or bullbreed mix" mindset and I furrow my brow over bullies.

To me it looks something like an APBT descendant that's lost its elite gamebred APBT genetics via generations of loose breeding and not working. Petbull I guess. Plus has a little bit of non-gripper shit in it too like a bit of bird or herding dog, as in the video footage the body-frame size seems a bit big compared to the head for a pure bulldog and too long and not tight. Of course just free associating here but I'll say 90% petbull/10% lab or shepherd.

Yes I'd just say- "it was a real pitbull not that many generations ago and hasn't been bred weirdly since"
