This debate never ended... and I never saw tut45's weight data post. I don't know who to favour now.

Welcome back Hammerhead. The mandrill is my favourite monkey but I do think the chimp is physically stronger. The advantage of the mandrill, it’s longer canines that slash but are more easily broken.

I think it would manage to wound the chimp but get overpowered afterwards.

Funny how like 99.99% of members here see the Mandrill as their favourite Monkey.

Funny how like 99.99% of members here see the Mandrill as their favourite Monkey. I guess it's just objectively the coolest, lol. I was a big fan very early on. Obviously they just look so frigging awesome for starters, that caught the eye. I remember I had the mandrill as my favourite mammal and the bateleur eagle as my favourite bird at the same time, and there's kind of an aesthetic similarity almost. Later on, more recently, I learned about the studies where they found adult male mandrills seek out conflict with leopards when the rest of their troop retreat and seek shelter. They WANT all the smoke with leopards, that is real character and cajones right there, you gotta love them.
