I am kind of intrigued what good dog literature might be available out there in spanish. I feel I have exhausted english dog info, and latin dog info. And translations of greek and egyptian dog info. Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, Dutch, German... might be some good stuff I don't know about. Not saying the fantasy of a golden beating a dogo is good, but there must be good stuff too. This is a very good PDF book about history and uses of Dogo Argentino in Spanish. Plus some hunting accounts in Chapter 8, it's free and the younger Brother of the creator of the Dogo wrote some of the Book. I'll have to do some translating later, looking through it I was surprised to see pics of dogo vs dogo fights in what look to be the same cages they have dogo vs puma fights. I'd always heard about dogo vs dogo fighting in their history but was starting to think it was almost a myth. Mind you people used to casually fight pig dogs in Australia too when my dad and uncles were young. Just disagreements over whose pig dogs were tougher at the chillers or the pubs would boil over into dog fights. No one would do that now, it is very uncool to have a pig dog that is dog aggressive at all, let alone actually fight them. |

Do you think a Golden Retriever has a one in a thousand chance to beat a working Dogo? I wanna say no... but that is not true, because a dogo might be completely non-dog aggressive and just refuse to fight. A mean golden could win that way. That would probably happen to my female bull arab to be honest, she is tough and capable but when it comes to dogs she just refuses to fight. Totally broken off dog aggression. I mean in a "fight to the death" where both sides agressively want to kill each other, do you think there is a 0.1% chance that early on the fight the Golden might win with a lucky early bite on an artery or something? |

Avian is yet to elevate off the absolute basement, but that isn't even their fault. They have only been exposed to carnivora brainwashing.
You and Espinola showed that growth is possible and not only possible but richly rewarding and awesome. It is possible for some... I am still yet to see progress in AE and Haileyspino, we shall see which path Avian takes.

AE is a lost cause. I'm gonna give Avian every chance to improve and be patient with him. As I always say, this is a marathon to me, not a sprint. I see no need to "blast" avian.

Maned wolf vs greyhound is certainly hilariously adorable. Dogo/pitbull vs lynx is kind of maddening. It is hard to say which is more ridiculous. The mismatch in both is kind of equally crazy but I guess I can forgive the ignorance a little more in the former. After searching for a bit, this is THE worst mismatch in Carnivora. Makes Dogo Vs Lynx and Maned Wolf Vs Greyhound look mild. |
