The weasel would assail the tarantula which would in turn rear up. The weasel will circle it and rip off its legs. Tarantulas are surprisingly shit combatants, they look so cool with so much potential but they disappoint in insect fights. Tarantulas are ambush predators, they strike suddenly and hook their fangs into their target. If the weasel was high on drugs and was lacking a tarantula could indeed pop out, hook it and envenomate it. The weasel wouldn't be able to do a lot about that unless it squirmed free and ran over the tarantula snapping wildly. Face to face with a sober weasel the tarantula is on the backfoot and losing. The hairs might be a bit annoying, but I see this as similar to mongoose vs cobra. But it can’t rip off the legs… Also they lose legs all the time and get them back my molting. It really isn’t a killer.

I do favour the weasel though.

Tarantulas are very slow. The weasel would at best give it some respect by darting in and out a bit but ultimately it would just dissect it and eat it. I feel like I've watched something far inferior to a weasel do that to a tarantula already. Some kind of bush baby or something lame.

Wasps dance around tarantulas and sting them and rarely get touched.

I think the faster and more agile weasel will win but it has to watch out for these fangs and avoid being caught.
