Irrc that member was one of the very earliest members of that particular forum iteration.

I don't know if there are multiple people interested in changing the colours of vultures and bears. Oldgreengrolar is one of a kind, lol.

Hello everyone, you may know me from Carnivora and Domain of the Bears as "TheUndertaker45"; I'll mainly use this forum to post size comparisons and have discussions on them. I am also particularly interested in morphometrics of animals and how they compare to each other in this regard. In terms of debating "animal vs animal" I'd consider myself retired and not particularly interested anymore; my favorite animal is the sloth bear and I am studying biology/classical piano at the moment.

Awesome! Now we are cooking with gas. I kind of feel the same you do about "animal vs animal". I think there's a lot to glean from certain matchups, like "dog vs cat in general" remains an interesting deep topic from my perspective, one I have dissected to the nth degree and still feel there is more to go. Maybe bear vs cat to some extent is also interesting and even lion vs tiger, but "random obscure species vs random obscure species" matchups often don't have as much "meat on the bones" as I would need to get interested. That said it's generating some good activity on the board and is often the biggest draw for new members so I think it's a good section to have, and I'll dip my toe in here and there. The stuff that will get me really interested probably won't be threads like that, or if they do it will probably be one little sentence I'll feel like I need to correct. Someone asking me "what do you think of X vs Y?", that rarely gets much out of me.

AvA is of some interest to me but only some popular-ish wild predator or dog v wild predator matches that have substance. Not "Striped lemur vs Spotted russian hitler worm" or something. Most AvA debates with substance seem to have died down, ran out of gas.

Yes, it’s rather embarrassing to see my former forum discussing “hamster vs centipede” or “rabbit vs tarantula”.

I can be a bit of a nut when it comes to size/weight comparisons as well as specs and morphometrics, so I look forward to seeing your content. Welcome! And another classical pianist?! I hardly touch it these days but once held a full scholarship for classical piano at the local Con. in the early 90s before giving the practice away. That and rock drumming were my two main gigs and I miss all that. Now living in apartments I got a little digital piano I tickle occasionally but no drums. Favourite composer: Chopin, the Chopin Ballades in particular I just love. Always will be a romantic tragic
