Black Wolves do resemble GSDs, so I wonder if we can bring them back through releasing some black GSDs/Belgian Malinois.

I actually think they'd get killed, certainly the Belgians would get fucked over. They're way too high drive. GSDs are balanced, and could succeed, but they'd need to be in pine forests and shit instead of being thrown into the swamp to be eaten by gators. Take badass farm GSDs from Africa and throw them in the Everglades pine forests I think they'd bully Florida Panthers similar to how TMs do snow leopards, and also bring down deer and young boars. Parasites, heat and gators would be a problem. And also being shot for killing panther cubs and massacring bobcats. |

Some might succeed, then over the generations they would change and adapt. Probably get longer legs and become lighter in build. Could say the same about lots of random dogs. Just the story of feral dogs which have populations everywhere, but sure GSDs are not a bad breed to start with and in fact they have actually been involved in starting feral populations in some cases I have seen.
