Well judging by that the weight discrepancy would be huge, and I'm not sure it actually is. Dunno, we almost need a vietnamese guy with a bison for scale.

Yeah I agree, we aren't in a good position to be doing the size comparison at the moment. I think a lot of these big bovines are pretty similar in size. The gaur and certain domestic breeds of cattle loom a little larger than most (maybe even 3000 + lbs), but then the others are kind of all around 1800-2200 lbs.

It's like looking at something from further away than the bison, and its very obvious. |

Who knows, maybe the top one is right, and maybe we STILL shouldn't rule out the buff. It's not glaringly wrong to the eye like the bottom one.
