Asiatic black bear males get big 250 pounds + Females are a bit smaller at around. 150-200 pounds.
Tosa should overlap in weight but i don't know tosa weights

Going with the bear here. This bear is quite aggressive as it even dominates Himalayan brown bears and has records of killing water buffalo and wild boar. Also dominates tigers and leopards where they interact

Black bear. Fight to the death, especially with this is gonna favor the bear, even if the dog ends up winning.
I believe since Asiatic black bears are way less skittish than their North American black bear cousins that they would need a dog that is quick or small enough to evade but still throw in punches.
Like a Bull Terrier could probably do this. Excellent at gripping but is small and could evade the bear before they decide to do “the hug” and thats when the Bull Terrier would die.

Depends on which dies of exhaustion first.

The heavyweight varieties would get fucked. 80-120lb Tosa maybe wins.

The issue with having large and powerful gripping dogs here such as the Tosa is just that they deliver a strong punch but the evadeness needs to be taken into consideration.

Might need a smaller bear tbh like a female sloth bear which imo isn't too impressive because they are mainly insectivorous although they do scare tigers mostly due to bluffing and the tigers need to avoid injury. Still a tough match for any dog.

Hilarious mismatch. ABBs are far superior to their North American counterparts. Not to mention they can get as large as lions.

Bear wins.
The dog usually requires a gang to win.
