It fucking amazes me how blind and stupid these guys are. “Wolves killed my hounds? Time to snowmobile, shoot, and trap, despite this not working.” You run your hounds, more specifically scenthounds, a domesticated, specialized version of a wolf in an area where there are non-domesticated wolves, then you get surprised when a wolf kills your dog? Thats because of all the baying and howling the dogs do on the trail, then on the tree, just all the goddamn time. Worst of all, many of the Scenthound breeds are so easy to kill as they are bred to stand back and let daddy human do the job so when a wolf kills them they literally have nobody to help them so they just sit there and die. Even the largest and most toughest Scenthound, the Plotthound, has been killed by wolves, so changing the size won’t help. The hate stems to wild wolves a lot but it also stems to literally anything that wants to kill a Scenthound. Livestock guardian dogs and pet dogs like German Shepherds have kicked Scenthound’s ass and the houndsmen are like “KILL THEM ALL! AGHHHHH!” because their stupid fucking hounds got killed. Plotthounds are actually one of the smallest scenthounds ftr, just also one of the harder ones. Still not hard or even "rough" really.

Still though, I hear so much about Plotthounds being killed by wolves or even that German Shepherd those women released. Despite them being in the rank of the toughest and grittiest Scenthounds.

I keep saying scenthounds are weirdly especially non-tough. The guys saying plotthounds are tough only know other scenthounds and they mean tough relative to them, they're still some of the biggest pussies in the dog world. The fact plotts might bark a little closer in a bear's face and nip it on the rump when it's not looking makes hound men think they are hard as nails, but they don't know even rough, let alone hard dogs.

Off-topic, but I went to the doctor's last week as I was having chest pains and they said that I might have some weird heart condition that causes the left side of my heart to pump blood irregularly. So I had to do blood test. He tells me tomorrow if I do have this condition. And I probably do have it as the circulation in my legs is awful.
Lol it's crazy to think that there's a chance that I might be dead within the next 5 years.

I have to admit as a person who owns a Patterdale with a splash of Plott, I agree. Corbin will grab something but the issue I notice with hunting is he will risk a little of his self-preservation but if he believes he is going to die, hes done. He may grab the quarry when they’re not looking or maybe take a slash or two to the eye but if he believes hes gonna die, hes again, done.

Fuck, I always feared having bad luck like that. Do whatever you can do before you die...

Lizards and snakes can be weird. I've known very hard dogs to "bay" lizards and snakes, and soft dogs to swallow them. They're too much of a wild card to gauge a dog's hardness.
