Male polar bear kills female in zoo. It's uncommon but intraspecific predation happens - I've seen the evidence in the field. We found this dead female in the Beaufort Sea - partially consumed. Punctures in skull suggest an adult male killed her

Warsaw posted this on Carnivora. I believe the polar bear knows skull bites and will be the quickest kill among bears.
