Basically, why do they do so well together? There have been scientific studies stating that wolves and crows/ravens have a symbiotic relationship, like fish and parasites or cattle and cattle egrets. The crows/ravens will follow wolves, and wolves will follow them to find scavenging opportunities. Crows/ravens will bond with wolves, typically ones they pick. They typically pick the wolves that have no issue with them or the wolves they know since puppies. If the wolves accept the crow/raven into their social bond they will also let them play with their pups. The pups also learn to tolerate crows/ravens. With dogs, there seems to be this relationship as well, but different. Crows/ravens now typically tolerate dogs and don’t completely fucking hate them, and will help them out sometimes. They are much more likely to go to a dog who has no interest in chasing crows. Regardless, this relationship has been quoted in many studies and is famous. So do ya’ll have any hypothesizes on why this duo does so well?

Seems plausible, many animals that have coexisted for eons have some small vague semblance of symbiosis. Nothing mystical, they just get used to eachother being around and they end up factoring in each other's evolution.

I feel the relationship between wolves and ravens is kind of like cattle egrets and cattle or oxpeckers and rhinos. Both live in the same environment and can benefit from each other, so they just tolerate each other.

Both animals are very intelligent so I think they just put 2 and 2 together and realized “we can benefit from each other”
